The desert gets about 10 inches of rain per year, the desert does not have enough soil for farming, the desert is so hot during the day that the animals and plants are more active at night, sand, and sunlight.
Biotic Factors
Bears, bobcats, and coyotes live in the desert by hiding in trees of digging in burros in the ground, wildflowers, cactus, and succulents are all plants in the desert that need miniimal water, chuckwalla, the common king snake, desert tortoise, and many others make up the reptile kingdom of the desert, Scorpions, and cacti.
